Yes, I've got it right now. Every single penny of scholarship is paid for (books, housing, tuition, parking, etc.), and then they pay me $1000 each semester to spend on whatever I please.

The biggest advantage is you'll be meeting new people and gaining the experience of an international education (which many employers value).
The disadvantage is you'll be away from family, so the initial few weeks might be a little tough.
International study gives you more exposure of the world than a local education.

I am a 5-time host mom in Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA. I suggest looking at the YES Their website says:
"The Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program was established in October 2002 to provide scholarships for high school students (ages 15-17) from countries with significant Muslim populations to spend up to one academic year in the U.S. The YES program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and promotes mutual understanding and respect by expanding communication between the people of the United States and partner countries.
The YES Consortium welcomes students from Bahrain, Bangladesh, Gaza, Israel (Arab Community), Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mali, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Senegal, Suriname, Tunisia, West Bank and Yemen."
The YES program works with several agencies to accomplish the goal of bringing students to the USA. One of these is YFU = Youth For Understanding. This is the agency that brought 4 of my 5 students to the USA. I have asked other exchange students why they choose YFU. The answer was simple: they did some research and felt that YFU was the best. I know that other agencies are good, but YFU was the best. At the moment, I can not find a YFU-Bangladesh website, but I will ask someone at YFU if there is one and then send it to you.
Until then, below are a few websites that you may find interesting. One is for a host family in the USA who has had more than 20 exchange students, one from Bangladesh.
I wish you luck!
